I am a painter whose creative roots trace back to the Czech Republic, where my early years were shaped by art and music. At seventeen, I presented my first solo exhibition in Ostrava—an experience that confirmed what I already knew deeply: art would be my lifelong path. This early beginning led me into formal art studies and laid the foundation for the work I create today.

In my early twenties, I moved to New York City and later to San Diego. Each place brought its own energy, challenges, and artistic possibilities. In California, I became deeply involved in the local art community, exhibiting in galleries, building relationships, and eventually opening my own gallery, where I taught art courses and shared the creative process with others. Over the years, my paintings have found homes with collectors around the world, something I remain deeply grateful for.

Coming from a landlocked country, arriving in California felt like inhaling color for the first time. The endless blue skies and intense light stood in striking contrast to the muted European winters of my youth. Perhaps that is why bold color has become such an essential part of my visual language.

I continue to experiment, push, learn, and evolve. I want the work to remain alive and curious rather than settle into a formula. For me, one of the greatest rewards of being an artist is hearing from someone who feels a personal connection to a painting. Those moments remind me why I continue to paint.
